‘The fiend that walks lovers’ seaside!’
The Monster of Piedras Blancas is a 1958 sci-fi horror movie a few prehistoric creature terrorising a small seaside city. It was written and directed by Irvin Berwick (Hitch-Hike to Hell). Launched 1959.
The Vanwick Productions film stars Jeanne Carmen (The Satan’s Hand), Les Tremayne (The Monolith Monsters; Offended Purple Planet); The Slime Individuals), John Harmon, Don Sullivan (The Big Gila Monster), Forrest Lewis (The Factor That Couldn’t Die; The Munsters) and Pete Dunn.
Influenced by The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), the movie was produced by Jack Kevan, who had supervised the manufacture of the Creature go well with at Common-Worldwide, and created the Piedras Blancas monster costume. Kevan employed a number of of his former Common associates on the movie. Wayne Berwick, who performs Little Jimmy, would go on to direct comedy-horror Microwave Bloodbath in 1983.
The affect of this film prolonged to The Horror of Social gathering Seashore, The Seashore Women and the Monster, Humanoids from the Deep and past.
On September 13, 2016, the movie was launched on Blu-ray and DVD by Olive Movies.
Plot:
The setting is the sleepy seaside city of Piedras Blancas. Sturges (Harmon) is the lighthouse keeper of the city and could be very superstitious and anxious for the protection of his younger teenage daughter, Lucy (Carmen). He leaves meals for a sea monster that lives in a close-by cave.
The locals disregard him at first, however they start to take discover when the our bodies of individuals murdered by the monster are discovered on the seaside. An area scientist identifies a scale as being from a prehistoric “diplovertebron,” a prehistoric humanoid presumed lengthy extinct…
