England have bitten the bullet and dropped Ollie Pope fr their group for the fourth Ashes Check towards Australia on the Melbourne Cricket Floor, beginning on Boxing Day.
Pope’ have made two modifications to the XI that performed within the third Check in Adelaide.
Quick bowler Jofra Archer has been dominated out for the rest of the tour with a left aspect pressure and Surrey batter Ollie Pope misses out.
Warwickshire’s Jacob Bethell comes into the aspect and can bat at quantity three. Surrey seamer Gus Atkinson returns after lacking the third Check.
