“On account of conflicts all over the world and rising threats, the procurement of air protection programs is on the rise,” Israel Aerospace industries CEO Boaz Levy advised “Globes.” “The Greeks know what they’re getting, and it’s not for nothing that they’re speaking in regards to the Barak MX, as a result of it may be used in opposition to plane, missiles, and ballistic missiles. It is a system that has been deployed operationally; whoever buys is aware of what they’re shopping for. Curiosity within the system just isn’t confined to Greece.”
The Barak MX system has been bought to a number of nations. The excellent deal was with Azerbaijan in November 2023, amounting to $1.2 billion.
The massive deal arises from the truth that Greece has for a very long time not invested in its navy applied sciences, and now finds itself a good distance behind, notably versus the primary risk, from Turkey. The present deal is meant to cowl the Thrace area and the jap Aegean. Additional offers are anticipated in a while.
