Reviews:
“The cast is the real draw here, as the film brings together werewolf actress par excellence Dee Wallace, slasher queen (and mangled dick expert) Felissa Rose, scream queen Debbie Rochon, Stacey Nelkin (Halloween III), Marianne Hagan (Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers) and, most amazingly, Shelley Duvall […] With a mix of both psychological and actual horror, The Forest Hills is an intriguing movie filled with practical effects…” B&S About Movies
” If some of the film’s technical shortcomings can be fixed between the festival circuit and distribution, I may come closer to joining the party. Something that can’t be saved in post-post (reshoots aside) is the wonky acting, regrettably. But hopefully it’s not all for naught.” Fearsome Queer
“With an original story and the influx of horror actors, The Forest Hills was an enjoyable watch […] The film isn’t afraid to make you use your head; think Donnie Darko meets An American Werewolf in London. While Duvall’s return to cinema was the biggest selling point for this movie, I think this forest has a lot more elements worth exploring for yourself.” Pop Horror
