Rivals Camp Series Dallas: How Sunday will impact the rankings

COPPELL, Texas – The Rivals Camp Series made its annual stop in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex over the weekend and there were plenty of top prospects in attendance. With the event in the books, Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman takes a look at the impact some performances could have on rankings.

The French transplant was absolutely dominant playing left tackle on Sunday. Camara has excellent feet, plays with leverage effectively and is a finisher, which is why we love his upside as an interior offensive lineman.

Camara boasts functional strength plus athleticism in an excellent frame at 6-foot-5 and 350 pounds. The Offensive Line MVP is a mauler inside and should see a jump to four-star status soon.

Mayo blends a ton of skills and brings a unique element to the secondary at 6-foot-3-plus with length and physicality. Oklahoma and Texas are both courting Mayo as a nickel back – a hybrid defender that can drop into coverage, play close to the line of scrimmage and be a force stopping the run. We love Mayo’s skill-set in that role as opposed to cornerback.

Mays has some of the best interior OL tape inside the state of Texas. Coming off a breakthrough junior season at Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss, Mays has been putting in his best work this offseason, including at the Rivals Camp Series in Dallas.

Mays is active with quick feet and plays with leverage. We love the Texas Tech commitment’s drive and technique inside at center and bumped him up to a four-star rating after the camp.

Outhouse Jr. captured Defensive Back MVP honors on Sunday. As a safety, the 2027 defensive back impressed with how sticky he was in coverage throughout the camp. He’s able to flip his hips, turn and run with an array of different pass-catchers and close on passes with intensity.

We loved Outhouse’s physicality on the back end – able to play off and cover inside and out at a consistent clip – in addition to getting his hands on several passes along the way. He should debut as a four-star in the next 2027 rankings update.

The light came on for Pless, who was one of the top performers in the trenches during Sunday’s camp in the Metroplex. The newly minted Houston commit is a spark-plug on the interior of the offensive line.

He’s massively strong and agile in a 6-foot-6, 300-pound frame. He was bumped up to a four-star following his impressive camp performance.

Thomas was shifted from edge defender to linebacker in the updated 2026 rankings. The versatile three-down linebacker is capable of defending the run, dropping back into coverage and pressuring the quarterback on third downs.

The ability to stay on the field and be impactful in a multitude of different ways has in-state programs SMU, Texas and Texas A&M – along with national bluebloods – in pursuit.
