Greetings sports fans and welcome once more to yet another groundbreaking Vegas Valley Sports Beat the little column that is thoroughly pissed off and very likely to stay that way for a long time to come.

It’s a very lovely day outside my window and I am sure I heard the weatherman calling for 90 degrees today in the lovely Las Vegas Valley. Wild horse lovers take note the wet winter means good news for the herds of wild Mustangs, burros, donkeys, and Jackasses in the Spring Mountian Recreational Area. A large amount of snowfall has the mountains looking Verdant and this bodes well for their food supply this year.

Speaking of jackasses…

Let us turn our attention now to a very serious national issue. Fake news. My two April Fools column’s not-withstanding it has been, and always will be, my understanding that Journalism is a calling where impartiality and integrity are never optional unless perhaps in an op-ed piece such as this.

I’ll even go so far as to voice an opinion in this column but I’m also responsible for its content and I make it clear, or I hope I do, you can bet I damn sure will from now on, just as I did in my recent article about Frankie Moreno.

To be perfectly clear I do not get a paycheck for doing this and I am more than cool with that.I love my job so much I would even consider doing it for money but never would I write a word about someone because they or someone else paid me to in the manner that we have all been witness to over the duration of the Robert Mueller investigation.

Aptly the President has been calling it the “Collusion Delusion,” while most have been calling it a Liberal Witch Hunt and rightfully so ever since I coined the term in reference to it and I’m fairly certain I did. I know I was one of the first for sure. It’s relevant to the issue because it time stamps the time when the parties that touted it as fact should have known too.

Even then it was painfully obvious to all but those who chose to ignore what I myself and others already knew and said as much for the record. The Steele dossier was tainted at best and criminal evidence of exactly what it turned out to be in the end. Treason, at its worst.

That’s precisely what it was. A deliberately seditious and concerted attack against a sitting President perpetrated ostensibly from pure hatred that to the best of my knowledge has little if any basis in reality. In reality, it’s more nefarious than that. That remains to be seen.

I have been actively involved in and watching the world news unfold ever since my editor told me to do as much. He never said how far to go with that but you go where your conscience takes you I suppose. Mine took me right into the thick of things and coincidentally I had already been watching the Presidential race ever since Donald Trump announced his intention to run for the White House.

Prior to being brought on the staff of Vegas Valley News, I was watching the political drama unfolding on Twitter and Facebook. I took little part in any of it even after joining VVN as a staff writer because it was not within the purview of my duties here.

However, when I saw the evidence that proved to my satisfaction that the entire investigation was not only based on questionable evidence then it became my business, and it remains my business.

Call it what you will say what you wish but I do love this country and I believe in the US Constitution with all my being. I do not have the right to carry a firearm but that does not mean I am going to stand by and watch anyone try to trample on the 2nd Amendment or change it in any way.

I will not stand idly by and by my inaction take any part in treason, sedition, slander, libel or anything of that ilk. The list of crimes committed in the name of the Russian collusion hoax cannot possibly be any shorter than the list of felonies Chicago recently dropped against another recent hoax and the fake pieces of crap who perpetrated it

Which only illustrates my point further. One of the first things I saw as a freshly minted sports columnist was the same day I got my first national assignment. I had just handed in a review of the Mountain Springs Saloon and this was the featured image. It was February 14, 2018.

I turned in my column early and was reading my email and Tweeting when the news of an active school shooter hit the newswire and appeared as a notification on my monitor. I shot it to my editor and he told me to cover it and get everything. I did just that for 24 hours straight. I scanned the internet and watched all the news reports live from the beginning.

That was when I got interested in the practices of CNN in particular because I know for a fact that they were aware of and further condoned a lie and made the liar a short-lived media darling in the process. They and others used the tragedy to further their own agendas that much was quite clear. That is an ethics call but to me, it’s still yellow journalism.

I distinctly heard Mr. Hogg tell a reporter that he was at home when he heard the news on the radio and he said to himself this could not possibly be another mass school shooting. (Paraphrased).

Did I get it close enough to his exact words from memory? He also told the reporter that he got on his bicycle and rode the three miles to the school to get interviews on his phone because he wanted to be a journalist. Look at the batch of lies that turned out to be.

I have a copy of a video of David Hogg telling a CNN reporter several versions of one story. He could not get his lines straight and the CNN reporter coached him on and told him it was okay.

No. It is most definitely not okay. To this day he is called an MSD shooting survivor in an ongoing dishonor to the kids who did survive that day. Funny how I don’t recall Emma Gonzalez, ever speaking up for him or anyone else claiming Hogg was there except for him, and CNN.

Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think? Had he thought to lie about being there from the start nobody would have said different, but he didn’t. He told the truth and he told it on camera. Tsk tsk tsk. He has all he wanted in his grasp and he blew it. His conscience got the better of him when he least needed it and it told on him. That is delicious.

When the Mueller investigation blew up I called it for what it was and still is. An illegal fishing expedition. It was an attempt to sell an illusion. Even now some Democrats are trying to milk the non-starter Mueller report as a reason to impeach the President even in the wake of the President being vindicated. Yes vindicated.

If there was no finding of the crime on which the illegally initiated investigation was based; anything else is of no consequence except the underlying crimes. Now, it’s in the hands of the Department Of Justice whom I am sure are going to want to investigate the source(s) of the initiating FISA warrant and the dossier, etc.

There are many people who carry that albatross and they know who they are. The honest members of the American free press know who they are too. And so does the President. He has already said as much.

The members of the “mainstream media” as the public has come to refer to them, members in Congress and the Senate who openly accused the President of treason and other crimes, those who claimed to have proof, or knowledge of proof, when none in fact existed. Those who leaked false information, and who spoke of being given privileged information that indicated the President and members of his family would be going to prison deliberately, and so on and absurdum.

You know who you are. You know your day of reckoning is upon you and you are going to be hoisted on your own petards and hung from the yardarm to bleach in the sun. In a manner of speaking.

Thus always to traitors. I’ll happily braid the rope and tie the noose myself. The people who said the word treason didn’t apply to the saints decrying the President’s guilt all over the news and in the halls of Congress.

The whole time all this was being perpetrated on the American people, I and many other journalists continued pointing out the truth and with the help of #Qanon and countless other patriots, have finally awakened the people to what is really going on with the Liberal Democratic agenda. And what that portends as far as how deep the Deep State goes.

I have made my position clear from the first I didn’t much like Donald Trump. I voted for Hillary Clinton and I warned people about letting President Trump run for President. I warned the public he would be an embarrassment to the U.S. when he fires the Navy. Regardless of my personal opinion of him as a human being, I have no stone to cast first so that makes it your throw.

If the sitting President commits a crime in office that is not cool at all. I have made it clear in print that I would be the first to report proof of it in the public eye. I have to because I am an officer of the court by dint of being an inspector, plus it would be news. And the truth too. Not innuendo or outright lies. Not on any level or for anything.

egardless of any other consideration, he is the President whether you say he is yours or not. Who cares what you think? This is and always will be a nation of laws governed of, by, and for the people. Not whoever sneaks over the fence and changes the law illegally for a vested interest or interests. I will say nothing more than woe to you oh Heaven and Earth. Stock up on popcorn folks and watch what happens to the guilty party(ies) now.

The biggest mistake the outgoing administration made if they had any complicity, which I have no knowledge of either way, was to unleash the office of the Inspector General who had been handcuffed in effect from investigating the whole Clinton email scandal.

On the surface, it can be argued that the I.G. was restored his lawful investigative powers. Whatever the underlying intention was it set the stage for the impending shit storm. The one the guilty parties had hoped to stop. The one they have stirred up now is more akin to Waspnado.

I honestly approve of the job President Trump has done to date because of what he is doing for America. As I have stated often enough America has always been great. Ever since the election, America has become far greater than ever before. Ask me again tomorrow and it may have changed. Who’s to say? But that would have to be something extremely drastic like nuking anybody, or a foreign country like California for the hell of it.

Should the President get impeached? The Democrats don’t get Jack squat anyway as long as Mr. Pence is the Vice President. Duh. The nation will continue to see the effects of the investments they have made in the economy and we will continue to awaken we will continue to come together as people and continue to carry on with or without him in the White House because we are not all fools.

Never underestimate anyone, but least of all a journalist even less so an Inspector, and because I am legally ordained solely for the purpose of serving God, I simply cannot tell nor knowingly condone a lie. I am by law complicit for conspiracy if I do. Duh, I am an international code compliance officer. That’s Mr. Special Inspector Ramos if you want to get technical.

Everyone has a past, what is important is who are you now. Integrity is owning up to and paying for the wrongs you are found guilty of. If you claim someone is guilty of a crime, habeas corpus, show the proof to the D.A. or DOJ, but trying any case in a court of public opinion is wrong.

What the world has witnessed behind the Mueller investigation is wrong on so many levels. But don’t just take my word for it. Get your popcorn as I said and watch.

The damage that has been done to the individual right to Freedom of speech and of the Press by the left-leaning, and pay-for-play media outlets and personalities is zero.

The damage that has been done to the credibility of honest journalists, however; is immeasurable. To have to sit here day after day and take it all in was an education for me as I hope it has been for all Americans that were paying attention.

I don’t have very many rights, and I’ve had them trampled physically more times than I care to remember but I fought back every single time tooth and nail.

Even against large numbers of cops because I had not done anything to deserve being brutalized while in restraints. But many times I’ve been beaten by police and prison guards for no reason while in custody; and treated like an animal many times while in police custody. I can prove it and have.

In California first then in New York. Look at me and tell me all about white privilege. I don’t hear any bleeding heart Liberals crying for me. In fact, the ACLU said they didn’t have time to bother with the Federal civil rights case I won a federal court in New York. What happened to truth and justice? This is what has become of the American way?

Not all cops are bad but nobody but a fool would say that all cops are good. Even though that is what some of us were taught to believe. Because that is what is right and just. Because they are the law and to be respected. Those who would tarnish the badge or oath of their office is beneath contempt for the level of betrayal it encompasses..

That is a Constitutional mandate that every person is presumed to know the law so know this. It means everyone from the President on down to the last American standing. Bet your red, white, black, or blue ass that last American standing will be holding up our flag and standing for the Republic for which it stands. Just as it was at Fort McHenry, so it is now.

When the dawn’s early light gave Francis Scott Key proof that our flag was still there. He saw that it was tilted to one side but it was still flying, was caused by a British mortar shell had finally broken the flagpole so all through the night man after man ran out and held it aloft when the man ahead of him fell under the horrendous naval barrage of mortars, shot and exploding shells bursting in their faces.

Every warship in the British fleet had their guns aimed at our flag it with the aim to take it down. But one by one, men of every blood type gave their life to thumb their nose at the mighty fleet and wave the American flag in the face of a vast enemy.

It never was allowed to touch the ground and signal surrender to the British. Even though it took a mound of dead American Veterans to hold it up, our flag was never surrendered. Every last one of them ran into the face of the enemy’s guns and held their ground without a word being spoken. None were sent, all of them volunteered without being asked.

That is the measure of devotion and respect that every American owes the flag of the United States and the laws laid down by our founding father’s. That is the same measure of respect visitors who enjoy our freedoms under its shadow owe to our flag or they can get out on the next thing smoking for wherever they choose to go.

That is a measure of devotion to the principles of freedom and justice for all people that I can believe in, and I do believe in whole-heartedly.

I have sworn 3 times to uphold and defend the Constitution, and I stand on my word with my honor and integrity because of men like that and the republic for which they stood. Like I said I will fight tooth and nail for my rights if I must because it’s an American tradition written in the blood of patriots.

Ask the President if he thinks you can’t be railroaded on trumped-up charges just like he almost was. But, they got caught, and I am very proud to have been a part of that for the sake of this great nation. I know that goes for Vegas Valley News as well so that goes double for us as well.

I do take issue with President Trump, whom I know took that same oath, stating in the press, of all places, that the free press is the “enemy of the people.” His son, Donald Jr, has said as much as well in the press and on social media.

The framers of the Bill Of Rights considered freedom of the press important enough to write it down First as being necessary for the preservation of the Republic that the freedom of speech and of a free press shall not be abridged by anyone for any reason. The same argument that applies to the 2nd because when the government comes beating down your door illegally that is plan B.

Those people who did wrong have to pay the piper. Their own words damn them publicly and they certainly will hang them in a court of law. I have few rights to call my own but I have every right to be offended as does every journalist who was tarred and feathered during the ordeal.

Not to mention to be alarmed at the danger posed to the First Amendment by the President targeting those who practice that right responsibly. Making them out to be enemies of the people by Presidential accusation, and from the Oval Office too, flies directly in the face of that oath.

I heard the President say it himself at his rally in Las Vegas last year when I attended as a member of an unbiased non-adversarial press to observe the goings on impartially.

He pointed to the press corps right in front of him. They were all up on their special press scaffolds with camera’s, lights, cables, and microphones by the score. I was off to one side and that finger was not pointing at me then but he didn’t bother to make the distinction when he said they, the press, was the problem and the enemy. I heard the people booing the press too.

I heard that same hate and distrust from Trump haters, Never Trumpers, and MAGA people alike online as well. I got tarred by the same brush and now I, we, have to be feathered too?

I call bullshit, Mister President.

Is your press Secretary also an enemy of the people? Are we to wonder if you are telling us the truth or feeding us propaganda because if your press is free and the honest free press is an enemy of the people there is something very seriously wrong with that picture.

Do you stand by that oath or not? Nobody worth their pen gives a rats ass about your personal opinion of the free press. It is your job to uphold it not attack it over the unlawful and unethical actions of a few.

There is no middle ground no gray area. A man is worth no more than their word. They are either honorable or they are a liar and have no honor.

It’s your sworn duty, Mr. President, to bring those kinds of people to justice. It is your sworn duty to ensure we can continue to enjoy the rights we American’s in the United States Free Press have fought for along with you.

Thank you,

Charles Ramos jr. 04/07/2019

Yellow journalism as defined by, WIKIPEDIA:

Yellow journalism and the yellow press are American terms for journalism and associated newspapers that present little or no legitimate well-researched news while instead using eye-catching headlines for increased sales.[1] Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism. By extension, the term yellow journalism is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion.[2]

In English, the term is chiefly used in the US. In the UK, a roughly equivalent term is tabloid journalism, meaning journalism characteristic of tabloid newspapers, even if found elsewhere. Other languages, e.g. Russian (Жёлтая пресса), sometimes have terms derived from the American term. A common source of such writing is called checkbook journalism, which is the controversial practice of news reporters paying sources for their information without verifying its truth or accuracy. In the U.S. it is generally considered unethical, with most mainstream newspapers and news shows having a policy forbidding it. In contrast, tabloid newspapers and tabloid television shows, which rely more on sensationalism, regularly engage in the practice.[3]

Joseph Campbell describes yellow press newspapers as having daily multi-column front-page headlines covering a variety of topics, such as sports and scandal, using bold layouts (with large illustrations and perhaps color), heavy reliance on unnamed sources, and unabashed self-promotion. The term was extensively used to describe certain major New York City newspapers around 1900 as they battled for circulation.[4]

Frank Luther Mott identifies yellow journalism based on five characteristics:[5]

  1. scare headlines in huge print, often of minor news
  2. lavish use of pictures, or imaginary drawings
  3. use of faked interviews, misleading headlines, pseudoscience, and a parade of false learning from so-called experts
  4. emphasis on full-color Sunday supplements, usually with comic strips
  5. dramatic sympathy with the “underdog” against the system.
