Greetings sports fans. Good morning and welcome to your Wednesday Happy Hump Day edition of Vegas Valley Sports Beat in the sunny city of Las Vegas. I wish that every state in the Union had a city like Las Vegas but such is life, no?
Yes. And so now let us turn our attention on one of our most beloved and truly unique attractions, the Bass Pro Shop at the Silverton Hotel and Casino on Highway 160 or what you may know better as Tthe Blue Diamond Expressway.
The Silverton is situated just a few blocks West of I-15 where it almost meets I-15 and it is not just your run-of-the-mill sporting goods stores, oh no no not by a long shot ladies and gentlemen. The four foot long baby Grouper in the wishing well makes that very apparent
From the moment you forst see this majestic carved wooden structure on you cannot help but stand in awe of the immense amount of work that went into creating this mega sporting goods super-store. The first thing that catches ones eye is the gigantic aquarium where two mermaids frolic in the water amongst various varities of sharks, skates, stingrays and other less inocuous fish like the 2 inch long baby Dory fish that we saw when i visited the store thas past Sunday.
There were lions, andmooses, and sharks. Oh my!
This 2 strory metropilis of outdoor gear has something for evry member of the entire family to love. If the kids don’t love the memaids then they have everything from Gummy Worms to child sized fishing poles, to a sure fire kid pleaser, the shooting gallery where the kiddies can plink away at a huge assortment of tagets with safe light guns. For the big kids Las Vegas’ Bass Pro Shops store has every toy from fly rods to Arctic Cat off-road vehicles that would be a real hoot to drive aroound Moab, Utah.
Wheter you’re in the market for a new rifle or handgun, a child sized bow and arrow ste or a compound crossbow with a scope on it you cannot find a better place to shop fpr those items than here at the Bass pro Shops?
