QUOTABLE: “Southern Utah really played hard and came in with a lot of emotion, intensity and enthusiasm. They played together and executed what their coach wanted. I thought they did a really good job and were a formidable foe tonight. We (the coaches) knew we were up for a challenge, however I’m not sure the players knew what they were in store for and I think they got a little shell-shocked at the other team’s energy. It’s a great opportunity to win and get a lot of lessons – probably more lessons than I wanted. I always want to make incremental improvement and I felt like we did in some areas but in other areas we either went back or stayed the same, which is a little disappointing. But we got the win and now we have to prepare for two really tough teams next week.” – UNLV Head Coach Marvin Menzies
