LAS VEGAS ( – The UNLV men’s basketball team (16-6, 5-4 MW), winner of two straight and three of its last four games, will travel to Boise, Idaho, to face Boise State (18-4, 8-2) on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. PT.

The Broncos are in second place in the Mountain West, a half game back of first-place UNR, while the Runnin’ Rebels are currently in fifth place in the conference.

UNLV is coming off a 2-0 homestand with wins over San Diego State (88-78) last Saturday and San Jose State (76-67) on Wednesday. The victory over SDSU snapped an 11-game losing streak to the Aztecs. UNLV shot 58.6 percent from the field in that contest, which was the highest by a San Diego State opponent since 2006-07 – a stretch of 11 seasons and 403 games. The win over the Spartans earned UNLV the regular-season series sweep.

Freshman forward Brandon McCoy led the Runnin’ Rebels against SJSU with 22 points and 17 rebounds for his 12th double-double of the year. In the last two games combined, McCoy has gone 17 of 25 from the field with a total of 43 points and 24 rebounds. Over the same span, junior forward Shakur Juiston is 15 of 20 from the field with 31 points and 20 rebounds.

The Runnin’ Rebels are 3-1 in Mountain West play on the road with their lone loss at Fresno State (69-63) on Jan. 23 in their most recent MW game away from Las Vegas. UNLV went 11-2 during non-conference play this season with its only two losses coming in overtime – at Northern Iowa and vs. Arizona (now ranked No. 9) at home.

The Runnin’ Rebels are sixth in the country in field-goal percentage (50.0), 10th in scoring (85.8 ppg), 13th in rebounding (40.27 rpg) and 27th in assists per game (17.0). Individually, McCoy and Juiston rank in the top 21 in the country in rebounding. McCoy is 18th (10.1 rpg), while Juiston is 21st (9.8). UNLV is the only team in the nation with two top-21 rebounders.
