Las Vegas soccer phenom signs contract to play in Portugal

Las Vegas, NV- Local Las Vegas boy Roberto Soto, who graduated from Bonanza High School class of 2017 is not your usual 18-year old teenagers. Roberto was born in Van Nuys, CA and then his family moved to Las Vegas when he was 4 year old. He is the eldest of 5 siblings of 1 girl and 4 boys Roberto started playing soccer when he was 4-years old practiced on his own and joined local tournaments in California and Las Vegas. Roberto at an early aged showed potential and was clearly skilled at soccer. He once scored 5 goals in one game and 11 goals in another.

His talents didn’t get unnoticed as his local coach sent out videos of him playing to different coaches abroad. Far away in Europe coaches from England and Portugal saw his video and noticed his skills. The coaches then flew out to Las Vegas to watch him play live. After the game, “These huge guys asked me if I was Roberto? I got scared because they were so big” Roberto said. The coaches from England and Portugal were impressed enough that they didn’t waste anytime and signed Roberto to a 4 year contract to play in their developmental youth team.

Roberto was ecstatic after he signed  his first contract to play soccer in Portugal for their youth academy team. He will be leaving for Portugal next month on February 10, 2018 to continue to hone his soccer skills.
