KYLE BUSCH WINS COCA-COLA 600 AT CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Greetings once again sports fans and welcome back to Valley News Sports Beat. This late-breaking news update just in from the Vegas Valley News correspondence desk, and lemonade stand.
What an exciting night of racing in Charlotte, North Carolina this afternoon as your Cup playoff points leader, Kyle Busch in the #18 M&M Toyota held off Martin Truex Jr. in the #78 Toyota to win the Coca-Cola 600 and record his first Cup victory at Charlotte. This closes out the round robin for Kyle Busch and gives him a Cup win at every track on the Nascar circuit.

After he started on the pole, Kyle Busch led 377 out of the 400 total laps, won every stage in the NASCAR’s circuit’s longest race while running off and leaving everybody else in the rear fighting for second place as he rolled along like thunder on his way to his fourth victory of the season, and a points-race win at every NASCAR track on the schedule.
Martin Truex Jr. came in close behind Kyle Busch to place second, a few ticks over four seconds behind. It was only two years ago that Martin Truex had his own mind-boggling performance, leading 392 of 400 laps for a NASCAR record 588 of 600 miles to win at Charlotte.
Meanwhile; Kevin Harvick’s attempt at chalking up a third straight points win this month ended early in the race when an accident took him out of the running for the time being.
