LAS VEGAS (Oct. 13, 2019) – From Friday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 13, Caesars Entertainment showed support for the Las Vegas LGBTQ community with participation in the Downtown PRIDE events, rainbow light shows at two iconic attractions and the first-ever Official PRIDE Poolside Afterparty at Caesars Palace.
Television star, restaurateur philanthropist and the face of Vanderpump Cocktail Garden inside Caesars Palace, Lisa Vanderpump served as the grand marshal in this year’s PRIDE Parade at the Downtown Events Center on Friday, Oct. 11. Vanderpump was staged at the helm of the all-new Caesars Entertainment float, which took home “Best Float” from the PRIDE organizing committee.
Following the parade, Caesars Entertainment’s dedicated LGBTQ business impact group, EQUAL, hosted a PRIDE Festival booth on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12. The EQUAL booth featured a prize wheel, photo opportunities and more. Guests who signed up for the new Caesars Rewards PRIDE card or presented an existing PRIDE card at the booth had a chance to win tickets to see Caesars Entertainment headliners like Madonna, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul, Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani.
For the first time, Caesars Palace hosted the Official PRIDE Poolside Afterparty at Venus Pool + Lounge on Sunday, Oct. 13. Guests enjoyed sparkly drink specials, go-go dancers, a live DJ, giveaways galore and more.
Caesars Entertainment also illuminated two of the most iconic landmarks of the Las Vegas skyline to honor PRIDE throughout the weekend. The High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ Promenade and the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas featured rainbow light shows as a celebratory display of Caesars Entertainment’s support of LGBTQ community.
Caesars Entertainment has a history of leadership in supporting LGBTQ communities. Caesars has long led public policy and advocacy around relationship recognition and anti-discrimination on a state and federal level, including advocating in favor of LGBTQ rights related to various pieces of legislation throughout the nation. For the past 12 years, Caesars Entertainment has earned a perfect score of 100 on the Corporate Equality Index, which is administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. Additionally, Caesars Entertainment seeks to partner with certified LGBTQ suppliers and supports the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Caesars Entertainment also offers diverse affinity groups referred to as Business Impact Groups (BIG), providing team members of shared backgrounds and interests a forum to network with and support one another while driving business goals. EQUAL, Caesars Entertainment’s LGBTQ BIG, is an industry-first. Established in 2007, EQUAL currently has over 200 members in the Las Vegas region.
