LAS VEGAS (April 14, 2021) – SAHARA Las Vegas is proud to announce the promotion of Lyle Kaku to executive chef, where he will oversee all culinary operations for the resort. Kaku has served as executive sous chef for SAHARA since 2018, managing multiple restaurant openings and leading the development and implementation of new menus for the resort’s restaurants, in-room dining and banquets departments. Kaku will play a key role in the development and opening of new restaurants coming to the property this year, including Chickie’s & Pete’s, Noodle Den and the recently announced, Ballo.

Kaku received his culinary arts training from the University of Hawaii and went on to begin his career in Las Vegas more than 20 years ago. He has since held prominent positions at award-winning restaurants and resorts across Las Vegas, Maui, New Orleans, and San Francisco, including Spago Maui, Hyatt Regency New Orleans and Fairmont San Francisco.
