Rebar on Main St.
1225 S. Main Street in Downtown
Las Vegas, NV
Las Vegas, NV- I was on Main St. near downtown Las Vegas to check out the many thrift stores and antique shops in the area. One particular place caught my attention, ReBar Beer, Booze, Bargains the lighted bright sign says and below it $1 beer and free WiFi. Where else can I find $1 beer and free internet in Las Vegas. I had to check this place out.
Rebar is located along a busy street on Main St. just south of Charleston Blvd., there were lots of stores, shops and restaurants in the area. I was particularly drawn to this place not only because they sell cheap beer and free internet. But also because it had a lot of character. Rebar on Main St. is not your typical bar, it also doubles as an antique store and serves damn good sausages.
The interior is filled with antique decorations and all of them are for sale. You can buy old typewriter, picture frames, photos, posters, masks, hair dryer, and many more. Locals love to hang out here, I met a couple of locals enjoying the Happy Hour specials of $1 Rolling Back, Warsteiner and their rotating blowout mystery beer on tap. Prices after 3:00pm is $3 for all the dollar beers and this price is for the whole night. They also serve charitable cocktail drinks with proceeds going to local charities, purchase their John Mull sausages with buns and feed your local food bank.
As I entered ReBar, I noticed right away that the main bar is uniquely decorated using antique decorations and in the corner recycled shipping palettes double as a bar table with comfortable bar stools.
Every 1st Wednesday of the Month, Rebar hosts special events where locals and tourists can join open mic events to showcase local talents in singing, poetry, comedy and more. I personally will be going to their next event, I finally found a place downtown that has character and some Vegas culture. This place is created by Las Vegas Arts District Board President and former Atomic Liquors co-owner Derek Stoneberger.
ReBar is open Monday to Thursday 1:00pm to 1:00am and Fridays & Saturdays 11:30am to 2:00am and on Sundays 11:30am to 12 midnight.
